About

Dr. Lisa Bongiovanni has worked as a veterinarian for over 30 years, practicing in clinics and shelters primarily throughout northern New Jersey. She has earned a reputation as a doctor who not only forges bonds with her animal patients, but also with their parents, especially during the emotional discussions of end-of-life care, treatments, and options.

Dr. Bongiovanni is a long-time pet parent herself, and understands first-hand how stressful a visit to the vet can be for many animals and families. She now offers in-home end of life services and veterinary care for pets, hoping to remove that anxiety for her patients and make the experience as comfortable as possible. She is available in the New Jersey and New York areas.

Testimonials

“Thank you, Dr. Bongiovanni, for helping my family and I in our time of sadness. We did not want the added stress of bringing our MishMish to a frightening and cold office in such a delicate moment. We feel blessed that she passed peacefully in our arms in the home she felt safe and protected. We will always be grateful for your compassion.”

“I am still dealing with the loss of my best friend, Gizmo, but I just want to thank you for being so incredibly kind and patient with me. Thank you, Dr. B.”

“Thank you so much for coming to our home and making a very painful event as peaceful and painless as possible. Your empathy, compassion and tenderness were more than we could have expected. I want you to know how much we appreciate what you do.”
